Priscilla: “Most of the time I felt that Michael left me on my own while creating Diana Morales. The best thing he ever said to me during the whole run-it was after we had been open for a while-was that we had done this whole project in a now frame of reference and we were used to working what we felt at that moment. But now we've done the show and Priscilla is still doing what she feels at that moment. Michael said to me, ‘You know, you're growing as a human being and you're changing a lot. But remember that Diana Morales cannot change.'

"It was the first time that I realized Diana Morales and I were two different things. Up until then, we were one. So the show got harder to do because it wasn't about now."

Priscilla: “My song ‘Nothing,’ [which tells the story of her high school acting teacher who humiliated her and told her she would never succeed] really happened to me at the age of like 14, and up until that point was the worst thing that had ever happened in my life! And it turned into the most positive thing that I ever could have ever imagined!” This story was turned into a solo for her that has meant a lot to her and thousands of others who have been told they aren’t good enough to succeed.
