It's Dancin' Week! Dancin' begins previews this Thursday on Broadway and I wanted to celebrate by doing what I do best: digging in archives and finding photos and info to share with you all!
Today I'm sharing the original poster art for Dancin' which features photography by Jack Mitchell and poster design by Bob Gill. The model for all the body parts was Ann Reinking.
This is some of the poster art used to promote the 2023 revival. I think it's a wonderful visual tribute to the original art with seemingly disembodied limbs radiating out from the center!
Dancin' opened at the Broadhurst theater in 1978 and ran for 4 years and 1,774 performances. This year's revival will play at the Music Box Theater.
