(3/12) In 1966, Balanchine’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream was filmed on a soundstage to preserve most elements of the original production.
Included here are some behind-the-scenes photos from the set. I find dancers at rest to be as interesting as dancers in motion. The 4th photo looks just like the composition of a Degas painting.
