NYCB Vol. 7 No. 32 - Swan Lake

Congratulations to the dancers of NYCB! Today is the closing performance of the 2022-23 season which makes this the 170th post I’ve made about NYCB since September. Once again, it’s been great fun learning with you all! Thank you for commenting, sharing and enjoying the history of this company with me. I’m ridiculously excited for the 75th anniversary next season and have SO many cool photos and facts up my sleeve for you.

I’m currently saving to buy new (vintage) books for next year’s research! Old books aren’t cheap and usher’s salaries aren’t large. 🥴 If you’ve enjoyed my posts and would like to contribute to

my work, I’ve created a “tip jar” that can be found at the link in my bio. I appreciate your support!

Side note: I’m obsessed with all of the lines of energy radiating out from Allegra’s sternum. The ribs, collarbone, neck muscles, arms and tutu pleats all emanating from the same source.
