Another special debut post today! Mira Nadon makes her Dewdrop debut in Nutcracker number 25 tonight! Dewdrop is my all-time favorite role in this ballet (my 2nd favorite is Candy Cane, 3rd is Sugarplum Pas). Here are my favorite pictures of Tanaquil LeClercq, Balanchine’s original Dewdrop. Tanny, 25 in these photos, was paralyzed by polio just two years later.
