(9/10) A lot of people say Balanchine’s one-act Swan Lake is cold and stripped of emotion. Although many story elements are absent I think that the heart of it remains. I enjoy this pure dance interpretation. And I’m sorry but that artificial swan floating across the lake as the curtain comes down brings a tear to my eye every time.
